If you ever needed a night out to try and convince yourself Sydney has any nightlife left, this is it. Think a cross between a bespoke high-rise New York City cocktail bar and a classic 1950s New Orleans smooth jazz watering hole. The group at Maybe Sammy have brought sky-high cocktails to life with one of Sydney’s best new venues. Nestled on level 22 of the luxurious ‘A by Adina’ Hotel sits one of Sydney’s most stimulating cocktail bars, Dean & Nancy on 22.
It’s time to bring fun back to Sydney, and we think this is a good start. With striking 360-degree views of Sydney featured through two-story-high glass windows, Dean & Nancy’s is bringing jazz back to the Harbour City.

Dean & Nancy on 22 was founded in May 2021 and brought to life by the iconic group behind Sydney bar, Maybe Sammy, which in 2020 was ranked the 11th best bar in the world, dropping to 22nd in 2021.
The cocktail menu is equal parts playful and opulent, with interactive offerings such as the ‘Rolling a Double’ cocktail, whereby you roll a pair of dice, and if you hit a double, that’s a cocktail upgrade on the house. Dean & Nancy on 22 has a tasteful dining menu featuring snacks and more substantial dishes, executed perfectly by executive chef Jane Strode, backed by 25+ years of experience in Australia’s finest restaurants.
